My students are kicking butt, my world is rocking, and I see the doctor tomorrow about my knee. I mine as well ask him about my throath and stomach while I am at it. That means I may be able to start running and training very soon.

I realize that I am in need of sleep though. I guess someone was right in saying that blogging would keep me up. That is why I am writting my summary today at 8:30 instead of 11:00 like I normally do. That and the fact that house was moved due to the Tiger Yankee game. I am a little ticked at the Tiger's performance, but I have a feeling they will win tonight. Verlander is pitching for us. That is a good rookie there.

One of my old Fraternity brothers called me today when I was on my way home from work (Eric Leung). We had a great talk, and I found out that I had won the Grimes award at homecoming. It came as a shock to me, especially because of the fact that I was doing some volunteer work for my school at the time. If I am not mistaken, I am the first recipient of the Grimes award. I will have to attend a meeting and figure it out, but it will be worth to drive to learn more about Brother Grimes. If I recall correctly he was a member of the armed forces that gave his life in the service, but that could be 100% wrong. I remember a little about what Dan Preston said about him last year, and what I do remember makes me feel honored and humbled to recieve it.

I guess you just need to remember to live life to the fullest, and there is always someone you can help... always.

I might not have...

Well, if I had to do it all over again today, I might not have told a few people that I have started a blog. A few of my co-workers patted me on the head and said "But you do so much already, why start a blog that nobody will read?" And my defense to them was "I am going to start becoming more goal oriented, and I think if I keep track of my progress on those goals here, then I will make sure they get done." I just have a feeling that some of the people I work with are too negative toward me and what I am trying to do. I am trying to keep myself positive and work towards something great. I don't know what it is yet, but it will be great. The one thing I don't need are nay sayers who will just stifle the little hope that I will cling to that I can do something overly worthwhile. We shall see... we shall see.

Am I going to do that? Hmm... I don't know. It sounds like a good idea, but do I really want to spend the time each night saying "Yes, I accomplished this!" Not likely. I will probably use it for my running goals because Akiva and I are still saying at this point we will meet at a marathon. I didn't tell him yet that he is going to do an Ironman with me as well. That or a simpler half tri-athalon.

The good news is that once again I was able to play basketball tonight with my students and avoid major injuries, but I did play without my knee brace, and that just was bad... very bad. It hurts. After I was over I started calling for ice. Of course I had to guard the 6'5" guy, who is not that large, but not small, going out for center on the Pennfield team this year. I think he will make it too because he was shoving me around pretty good, but I can teach him a few things with my experience that will help him get better... but then I would never be able to post him up with my 6'0" 140 frame. Of course he did wear me down by about the 5th game so that I couldn't do much against him anymore.

All in all, a good day. One I can say I am proud of. And to quote Dance Hall Crasher "You may call me ambitious, but I don't think there is any other way to live."

So I figured that I would actually spend some time documenting my life and how I got where I am. It all started because of a friend of mine doing this, but I have always been fascinated with the purpose of an autobiography. I myself am a teacher, but not in english. I teach Chemistry at the Battle Creek Area Mathematics and Science Center in Battle Creek, MI. I have been there for three years, and if all goes well... I will get tenure this year.

I have set other goals for myself as well. One of which is to run a marathon. Recently I started talking to one of my online friends Kivster, and I am going to force him into a full marathon if his knees hold out on him. We will see if my knee survives the doctor this Thursday first.

More to come, a little each day... and an examination into the life of a one wild and carazzzzzyyyy guy!
